Taste: 07/10
I sampled the vanilla flavour. Although certainly not unpleasant, the flavour was not strong enough for my liking. This could well be down to personal preference, but I prefer a more vivid tasting shake.
Texture: 09/10
Great in terms of texture. I mixed the powder with a protein mixing shaker, with milk, for around 30 seconds. The vast majority of the powder dissolved without problem but towards the end, there were a few clumps, denying it a perfect score!
Value for Money: 07/10
Is a little on the higher end of the cost scale. A 5lb tub for instance has a retail price of around $60. In my personal opinion, for this sort of price you expect virtually a flawless product and this isn't it. It is by no means the worse product around, but I feel it is let down in the taste department. This being said though, I am yet to sample any other flavour than Vanilla, so they may differ.
Met-Rx Whey Protein Summary
A good, but not great product is the overall outcome of the review. Met-Rx delivers 22g of protein per serving, a good amount but again surpassed by such products as Optimum Nutrition and EAS Whey Protein. It is a blend of whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate, so has the benefits of both. For a full nutritional breakdown, please see above.
