    Energy, Athletics, Strength, or as it is more commonly known, EAS, was founded in 1990. According to the EAS website, their mission is to be a "worldwide leader in providing superior and trusted nutritional products." Many would argue that they have achieved that already. EAS, along with Optimum Nutrition, BSN and Muscletech, are probably the best known and best selling names in the nutritional field. Many sports stars endorse EAS products, like Matt Hasselbeck, Seattle Seashawks Quarterback and Arizona Cardinals player Larry Fitzgerald.

    Taste: 09/10

    The only problem, if you can call it that, is the lack of variety of flavours for EAS Whey Protein. They are pretty basic, Strawberry Chocolate, Vanilla and Banana. However, the taste is the best I have tasted so far. When I mixed the Strawberry with milk, it made a smooth, great tasting shake. You could not tell you were drinking whey protein. Excellent.

    Texture: 10/10

    Up there with Optimum 100% whey protein, no question. I took this the other day in water, mixed with a spoon for around 20 seconds and there was not one lump to be found. The powder is noticeably finer in texture than others and it really does make a difference.

    Value for Money: 09/10

    Like Optimum 100%, a little more expensive than some brands but it really is worth the extra money. $44.95 for a 5lb tub seems to be average.

    BSN Syntha 6 Protein Summary

    I can't separate this and Optimum 100%. I realise I have made comparisons all along but these two brands are the leading in the field in my opinion. EAS provides 23g of protein per serving, second only to Optimum 100% but still considerably more than other brands. I really was impressed in flavour and texture of EAS, more so than any other brand and first tastes/impressions can be important when you have a whole tub of protein to consume. Really top quality product.
